The latest daily data for the MAC Global Solar Energy Index can be found on most major quote vendor systems under the ticker symbol SUNIDX.

The Index is initially comprised of 25 stocks selected based upon the relative importance of solar power within the company’s business model. To determine whether solar power is a major component of a company’s business, the Index Provider implements the following methodology.

The inception of the MAC Solar Index was 31-March-2008 with a base of 1000.00. Please note that the historical data prior to the index inception, i.e., from 31-March-2005 to 30-March-2008, is backcasted simulated data using the same index methodology that is used in defining the index going forward. The data is intended for reference purposes only and is not intended to suggest future performance.
